The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) held its annual meeting at McCormick Place in Chicago October 15-18, 2016. Dr. Jonathan Frantz, founder and medical director of Frantz EyeCare, was honored to be a featured speaker at the annual event, which focuses on innovation, education and technology in the field of ophthalmology.

Dr. Frantz’ lecture topic was titled, “The Accuracy of Intraoperative Aberrometry in Predicting Postoperative Astigmatism in Patients Undergoing FLACS”. He spoke to several hundred fellow eye specialists and surgeons. All the educational sessions were streamed live around the world for vision specialists who could not attend the event in person. “It was such an honor to be asked to speak to my peers about such an important topic in the ever evolving field of laser cataract surgery,” said Dr. Frantz.

The 2017 AAO will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana November 11-14 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
