With a degree in mechanical engineering and a lifetime tendency to take things apart and put them back together, it’s not surprising Dr. David Tremblay gravitated toward the eye when he was in medical school.

“Ophthalmology is a high tech field that is always changing and that’s a great fit for a technical person like me,” said Dr. Tremblay, who will see patients at both Austin locations of Mann Eye Institute and Laser Center.

Dr. Tremblay specializes in advanced corneal, cataract and refractive surgery procedures, with emphasis in challenging corneal issues. He completed a rigorous fellowship in Cornea and External Disease in addition to Refractive Surgery.

“Mann eye has such a great reputation for being a progressive, patient-first, philanthropic practice and I am honored to be able to join them,” said Dr. Tremblay. “Mann Eye is cutting edge in the industry, not afraid to invest in technology and is committed to pushing the field of eye care forward.”

Dr. Tremblay was raised in Fort Worth and is thrilled to establish his ophthalmology practice in Austin, where he completed his undergrad studies at University of Texas. “My wife and I love the charm and culture of Austin,” said Dr. Tremblay, who has two young daughters. “It’s a very friendly, outdoorsy place to live and we are so happy to be here.”

Mann Eye Institute, with 10 convenient locations in the Houston and Austin areas, is committed to exceptional patient care and achieving the most favorable visual outcomes for every patient. The experienced surgeons are Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and remain on the forefront of technological advancements in order to provide superior care to their patients.
