Issimo Productions, headquartered in Pleasant Grove Utah, announced that its motivational video “Accelerate: Be the Tortoise Not the Hare” was selected by Vimeo as a Staff Pick. This recognition by the video-sharing website means that Vimeo’s curation team selected the Issimo video to represent the best of the best in videos placed on the site.

The Vimeo Staff Pick selections are carefully scrutinized and hand-selected from thousands of submissions by the company’s Curation Team. The selections are then promoted prominently on the Vimeo website. Issimo Productions, a video production company that includes clients such as Panasonic, Jiffy Lube, Nu Skin, and REAL Salt Lake and has a history of creating award-winning videos (22 national awards in all).

“We couldn’t be happier about this recognition,” says Jacob Hoehne, owner of Issimo Productions. “Vimeo Staff Picks are often showcases for the best in the business and we’re honored that our production was recognized for its excellence.”

The “Accelerate” video was written and edited by Zach Kempf and produced by Hoehne for their client, Corporate Alliance. The video is just over three minutes and is a striking assembly of images that reflect the message of boosting the quality of life by slowing down and appreciating every little thing. Described as “an essay in motion,” the video emphasizes positivity, empowerment and focus. To date, the video has more than 49,700 views on the Vimeo website.

Issimo Productions has an extensive portfolio of work that includes TV commercials, online video, broadcast documentaries, event media and online video marketing. The company’s approach is to use their creative talents to help their clients succeed by telling stories via video that really resonate with viewers.

“Here at Issimo Productions, we really feel that film is the most powerful medium for evoking emotions that unlock decision-making and action.” says Hoehne. “We want to help all our clients reach their customers and inspire them to act.”

Janelle Page, CEO of KickFire, is pleased to announce the promotion of Tyler Seamons to COO.

“Tyler Seamons is the best hire I have ever made, and is devoted to our ‘Light Up Your Business’ philosophy,” Janelle Page, KickFire CEO, testifies. “He has helped KickFire grow in remarkable ways; I could not run my company without him–daily I rely on him to help steer our company and crew. His promotion to COO is an optimal fit.”

Bespectacled, adorned with a bowtie, and surrounded by Macs, Tyler modestly acknowledges, “I’ve worked in the barter industry, retail toy sales, a deal [Internet coupon] company, and have done freelance design and marketing work.” Seamons’ understated, but storied career appropriately reads like a dust jacket author bio.

Among other talents, Tyler is an accomplished writer, penning a book, numerous articles, and poetry–some of which is written in Italian, is an authority on barter, trade, and alternative currencies, an Italian food aficionado and chef, and a juggler.

Tyler was hired by KickFire in April 2014 as a project manager and chief web developer. He proved his skills in systems, innovation, organization, and profit maximization, and was quickly promoted to VP of Operations. Page adds, “He’s not only an insanely talented marketer, designer, coder and executive, but more importantly, he’s a dear and trusted friend. I feel so blessed to work with him and have him as my right-hand man.”

Since joining KickFire, Tyler has contributed to its overall strategy and direction and has:

– Increased quarterly revenue and doubled monthly billing,

– Implemented production and task completion systems,

– Cultivated a pool of talent that grew KickFire from 5 to 15 people,

– Streamlined client on-boarding and project tracking processes,

– Created KickFire’s Fire Marshall Inspection Report (a comprehensive marketing checkup), and

– Headed up all client websites.

“I’ve known Tyler for several years,” explains James Hirst, a recent addition to KickFire as a writer/content creator. “He is a natural storyteller, and that skill shapes his distinctive, strategic approach to each client. As long as he has a Mac and the Internet’s infinite canvas to play on and create with, Tyler will craft a creative and visually compelling campaign that engages, motivates, and provides returns.”

Seamons will be training and overseeing a new project manager as he focuses on continuing to build and refine systems that increase client outcomes and satisfaction as well as improve team member efficiency.

Janelle Page, Founder and CEO of KickFire Marketing, writes about why small business owners are ready to give up on marketing, and how to build a successful marketing blueprint, in Small Business Trendsetters Magazine.

Kaysville UT — The issue of failed marketing campaigns in small business, and the frustration of independent business owners with marketing, was the topic of a new feature article in Small Business Trendsetters Magazine.

In the article, “How To Rebuild After Marketing Just Doesn’t Work”, Janelle Page, Founder and CEO of KickFire Marketing, writes about how business owners lose confidence in the ability of marketing to make a meaningful contribution to a business’ bottom-line.

“Unfortunately, they have a basis for this erroneous belief [that marketing doesn’t work]. Typically these individuals have been promised astronomical returns by well-intentioned, and the occasional not so well-intentioned, marketer or salesmen, offering them the latest and greatest marketing tool at a steep cost. But instead of increased leads or sales, all the business owner was left with was empty returns and an empty marketing budget.”

Waning confidence in marketing effectiveness is reflected in a Forrester Research Survey that revealed only 51% of business owners agreed that marketing had a clear financial value for their business.

Page writes of common issues plaguing small business owners, including over-segmentation of marketing tools and the lack of central communication when marketing is outsourced.

Page asserts, “With all these hands in the pot, where is the seamless integration? Without an established blueprint that defines tactics, strategies, follow-up and quantification, companies are hemorrhaging marketing dollars. They have no strategy. They have no plan. When they have no results they cry out, “Marketing doesn’t work!” In reality, what they’ve lacked is an architect, a marketing integration strategist, to establish their blueprint for success and show them how a marketing structure is built.”

Despite the frustrations of business owners, there is ample evidence that investment in marketing, particularly in local search, social media, and content marketing, is imperative to the business development.

According to a Local Search Usage Study done by TMP Directional Marketing/15miles & comScore, 69% of consumers are more likely to use a local business if it has information available on a social media site.

A Google study showed that 88% of consumers who search for a type of local business on a mobile device call or go to that business within 24 hours.

And Webdam writes that B2B companies that blog generate 67% more leads than those that don’t.

In the article, Page details scenarios in social media marketing where small business owners are struggling to gain traction and offers four steps for setting the foundation for a successful marketing structure blueprint.
