C5 Insight CEO Geoff Ables is leading the Second Chance Ride. Second Chance Ride is a motorcycle ride to support people impacted by prison and incarceration and is part of Prison Fellowship’s Second Chance Month™ in April 2019. One in three American adults has a criminal record, which limits their access to education, jobs and housing. It holds their families and their communities back as well. And it also holds the nation back.
Second Chance Ride is made up of four short motorcycle rides over a three-day period. Participants can join for one ride or as many rides as they would like. Ride 1 is in the Charlotte, NC area on Thursday, April 25. Ride 2, also on April 25, is in the Raleigh, NC area. This segment ends at the North Carolina State Capitol Building where riders will show support for making North Carolina a Second Chance State. Ride 3 is in the Richmond, VA area on Friday, April 26. The ride ends at the Virginia State Capitol Building where participants will show their support for making Virginia a Second Chance State. The fourth and final ride is in the Washington, DC area on the morning of Saturday, April 27. This ride starts at the offices of Prison Fellowship in Leesburg, Virginia, riding into Washington DC, and then back to the Prison Fellowship offices. Lunch will be served to the riders at Prison Fellowship, followed by a silent auction to benefit the organization.
