Song becomes No. 1 most-added track at U.S. rhythmic radio less than a month after the release of "World Hop," as TVM, Rawcel and R1ckOne carry a nearly three-decade BROSHIGEEZ legacy into a new era

LOS ANGELES —September 21, 2026 — BROSHIGEEZ has entered a new era. Nearly three decades after its roots were established in Los Angeles’ 1990s creative scene, TVM, Rawcel and R1ckOne have reached No. 33 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart with “Jump Jump,” featuring Arii Brazil, while the record has become the No. 1 most-added song at U.S. rhythmic radio, less than a month after the release of the group’s “World Hop” EP.

The two milestones signal growing radio support for the independently released project as “Jump Jump” expands across terrestrial radio markets nationwide, including documented daytime airplay. The record is also circulating through professional DJ and record-pool networks, widening its reach among programmers, DJs and tastemakers.

For TVM, Rawcel and R1ckOne, the momentum marks more than the arrival of a new record. It marks a new chapter in a creative brotherhood whose roots reach back to Los Angeles’ music scene of the 1990s.

A BROTHERHOOD BEFORE THE FAME

BROSHIGEEZ traces its roots to the Los Angeles creative scene of the 1990s, when a close-knit community of young artists, musicians, DJs, dancers, writers and producers came up together, developing their talents and supporting one another long before platinum records, world tours and international fame.

That larger creative circle included apl.de.ap, will.i.am, DJ Motiv8, TVM, Rawcel, R1ckOne and others whose paths would continue to intersect as their individual careers developed. It was within that environment that BROSHIGEEZ was born.

According to the group, apl.de.ap coined the name BROSHIGEEZ, short for Brothers Shining High in God’s Eternal Eye, a name rooted in the brotherhood, creativity and shared experience of those formative years.

As the years unfolded, members of that broader community followed different paths through entertainment. Some became internationally recognized artists; others built careers as songwriters, producers, DJs, dancers, musicians and creatives behind the scenes. The relationships and creative history remained intertwined.

Rawcel played a notable role in that extended history by introducing Fergie to the Black Eyed Peas, while Thomas Van Musser, who performs as TVM, went on to earn songwriting credits on Black Eyed Peas records including “Pump It” and “The Boogie That Be.” Rick Dixon, professionally known as R1ckOne, built his own career as a DJ, producer and songwriter, serving as longtime DJ and turntablist for Crazy Town while spending years creating within that same extended musical community, including studio sessions alongside will.i.am.

Those connections are not later associations attached to the BROSHIGEEZ story. They are the environment from which it grew. Now, TVM, Rawcel and R1ckOne are carrying that brotherhood, and its history, forward through “World Hop.”

HIP-HOP WITHOUT BORDERS

“World Hop” begins with hip-hop but does not confine itself to it. Built on a hip-hop foundation, the sound incorporates global rhythms, instrumentation, languages and cultural influences, creating music designed to move between communities rather than sit inside one traditional genre.

As BROSHIGEEZ describes it, “World Hop” reflects something increasingly visible across contemporary music: music has always traveled across borders. Hip-hop, Afrobeats, Latin music, electronic music and sounds from cultures around the world now regularly share audiences, producers, collaborators and influences. “World Hop” places that global exchange intentionally within a hip-hop framework.

The “World Hop” EP introduces that vision through four tracks:

  • “Boogie Down Phonk,” featuring Arii Brazil
  • “Fiesta Mundial,” featuring Naevia
  • “Jump Jump,” featuring Arii Brazil
  • “We Run It”

“Jump Jump” is beginning to provide measurable evidence that the music is traveling.

“JUMP JUMP” BEGINS TO BREAK THROUGH

Featuring Arii Brazil, “Jump Jump” has reached No. 33 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart and become the No. 1 most-added song at U.S. rhythmic radio, marking two milestones for BROSHIGEEZ and the independently released “World Hop” project less than a month after the EP’s release.

The chart and radio activity come alongside terrestrial airplay across multiple U.S. markets, including documented daytime exposure on select stations. The record is also circulating through professional DJ and record-pool networks, expanding its reach among programmers, DJs and tastemakers.

For BROSHIGEEZ, the growing chart and radio activity carries a deeper significance. Every new spin, add and chart movement represents the continuation of something that began among friends decades ago. It is a legacy now finding a new audience.

CARRYING THE LEGACY FORWARD

That distinction is central to what BROSHIGEEZ represents today. TVM, Rawcel and R1ckOne are carrying forward a name, history and creative brotherhood with roots reaching back nearly three decades. Rather than treating that history as nostalgia, the three are using it as the foundation for something new.

“World Hop” looks outward, toward different cultures, different sounds and an increasingly borderless future for music, while BROSHIGEEZ keeps brotherhood at the center.

With the “World Hop” EP released, “Jump Jump” reaching No. 33 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart and becoming the No. 1 most-added song at U.S. rhythmic radio, TVM, Rawcel and R1ckOne are not rewriting BROSHIGEEZ history. They are continuing it.
