FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

West Caldwell, NJ – May 16, 2018: ARCO Construction, Inc.

ARCO Construction, Inc., of West Caldwell, New Jersey, has received the most prestigious contractor award GAF offers: The GAF President’s Club Award. This highly coveted award recognizes ARCO Construction as one of the “elite of the elite” commercial roofing contractors in the United States.

GAF is North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, and only GAF Master Select(TM) Contractors can compete for its commercial President’s Club Award. To qualify for this award, a commercial roofing contractor must meet specific criteria in at least one out of three different pathways:

• Performance pathway – where contractors focus on giving their property owners the best possible service, quality, and protection
• Reliability pathway – where the contractor has a long history of offering their customers the best quality and protection
• Service pathway – where contractors consistently offer their customers the best protection available in the marketplace.

ARCO Construction has been a GAF Master Select(TM) Contractor since 2014. To become a Master Select(TM) Contractor–a status that less than 1% of roofing contractors nationwide are able to achieve–a candidate must demonstrate proper licensing, maintain insurance (in states that require it), have a proven reputation, and show commitment to ongoing professional training.

“We value our certified contractors for raising the industry standard year after year by installing the best roofing products and systems. Our President’s Club award recognizes only those contractors who have distinguished themselves by the highest standards of excellence, customer satisfaction, and dependability,” says Jim Slauson, GAF’s VP of Certified Program & Services.

“It’s all about the employees.” That’s what separates ARCO Construction from its competitors, according to president Eric Baginski. “I account my success to employee retention. In this industry, it’s hard to find good labor and good mechanics and supervisors. Some of our people have been with us 16, 17 years. We keep them happy, and so we have low turnaround.”

With a staff of veteran employees comes a commensurate level of company expertise, skill, and capabilities. “We’re a full-service roofing company,” explains Baginski. “We fabricate our own metal, we have our own cranes and dumpsters. We can install small roofs or large roofs. Because we’re a ‘one-stop shop,’ we don’t need to wait on other vendors to load materials or provide dumpsters.” He continues: “On top of that, we offer the level of service that comes from being in business for 20 years. In fact, we have an extended service division; when a roof is to be replaced, we can put an entire package together for the client, and we usually win the bid. We’re not always the lowest bidder, but we are always professional in our approach.”

“Our main business is private work–commercial industrial roofing,” says Baginski. “We do some public work, and we often get referrals through existing customers. New clients feel more comfortable dealing with a contractor who has done good work for a friend or a business associate.”

Amongst all of its customers’ projects, ARCO still finds time to engage in charitable works. “We do a lot of historical renovation for churches,” states Baginski. “And whenever they hold community events, we’re sponsors in their brochures. We are able to give back to the community while, at the same time, letting folks know about how we’ve been able to help out the churches.”

Going forward, ARCO intends to focus on keeping existing customers happy while expanding company capabilities. “We acquired a second crane in 2015, which helped us with loading as well as with planning and production,” concludes Baginski, “and we’re working on getting more trucks and mechanics and expanding our service department. All of these contribute to us winning all the work from our customer base. We don’t want them to go elsewhere–our priority is to keep our customers satisfied!”
