FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Wernersville, PA – May 19, 2018: Bachman’s Roofing, Building & Remodeling, Inc.
Bachman’s Roofing, Building & Remodeling, Inc., of Wernersville, Pennsylvania, has received the most prestigious contractor award GAF offers: The GAF President’s Club Award. This highly coveted award recognizes Bachman’s Roofing, Building & Remodeling as one of the “elite of the elite” residential roofing contractors in the United States.
GAF is North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, and only GAF Master Elite(R) Contractors can compete for its residential President’s Club Award. To qualify for this award, a residential roofing contractor must meet specific criteria in at least one out of three different pathways:
• Performance pathway – where contractors focus on giving their property owners the best possible service, quality, and protection
• Reliability pathway – where the contractor has a long history of offering their customers the best quality and protection
• Service pathway – where contractors consistently offer their customers the best protection available in the marketplace.
Bachman’s Roofing, Building & Remodeling has been a GAF Master Elite(R) Contractor since 2004. To become a Master Elite(R) Contractor–a status that less than 2% of roofing contractors nationwide are able to achieve–a candidate must demonstrate proper licensing, maintain insurance (in states that require it), have a proven reputation, and show commitment to ongoing professional training.
“We value our certified contractors for raising the industry standard year after year by installing the best roofing products and systems. Our President’s Club award recognizes only those contractors who have distinguished themselves by the highest standards of excellence, customer satisfaction, and dependability,” says Jim Slauson, GAF’s VP of Certified Program & Services.
Some companies have side businesses; others are leaders in environmental action. Bachman’s Roofing is both of those as well as a multi-year recipient of GAF’s President’s Club Award. “When people in Berks County think of roofing, they think of us first,” says Carl Rost, general manager. “Our name is well-known. We do everything to last. Quality and superior customer service separate us from the competition; when we follow up with customers, they feel like they were involved in a project as part of the family. Add the fact that we also do building and remodeling–that’s a potent combination.”
“Our well-trained personnel are sent to get certified as needed,” states Eric Bachman, president. “Customers notice. From the initial salesperson, to the installers, through the job completion and follow-up calls, the customers recognize our pride in our work. Plus, we give a 20-year workmanship warranty on every new GAF roof we do. Customers often cite that as a reason for choosing us.”
The service at Bachman’s goes far beyond roofs. “A lot of our 70-plus vehicles are newer, so we employ full-time, certified mechanics,” says Rost. “Their job is to maintain our service fleet and roof equipment. A few years ago, we decided to open that portion of the business to the public … and Bachman’s Auto Repair was born.”
Bachman’s recycles an astounding amount of roofing materials. “On the job sites,” states Bachman, “we separate shingles, cardboard, aluminum, steel, vinyl, and trash. When we bring it back, we have people who work full-time just on recycling. In 2014, we recycled 3,221 tons of shingles; that was kept out of the landfills and turned into material for public and private road construction. It’s just good for the environment.” Rost adds: “That’s 95% of our shingle trash. We are committed to continue going green.”
Both Rost and Bachman are enthusiastic about the company’s work with charities and the community. The lengthy list has included Habitat for Humanity, GAF’s Roofs for Troops program, the Caron Foundation, local efforts like little league sports, and the Susan G. Komen organization. “That last one is very close to our hearts,” explains Rost. “It has closely affected some employees–involving both breast-cancer survivors and those who didn’t.”
The company looks forward to continued growth. “We have future satellite locations planned,” concludes Rost. Adds Bachman: “The building and remodeling division has also been taking off. We’re always looking to take things to the next level–and we’re excited about the future.”
