Father and son team Bob and Austin Hintze, owners of Waypoint Property Inspection have reached three separate bestseller lists on Amazon.com. with the release of their book It’s Not About Me: How To Win With Servant Leadership. Â
The book was released at the end of January and was very well received. It quickly took top 10 positions in the Management, Leadership, and Teams categories. Not surprisingly, the book also made an appearance on the Hot New Releases list on Amazon.com.
The business book was inspired by a father/son vacation to the island of Belize and includes lessons learned from servant leaders during the trip. Written specifically for property Realtors, Bob and Austin Hintze share client case studies, personal encounters, and hard won lessons to help entrepreneurs take their business to the next level in terms of strategic partnerships, business success, and relationships.
According to Bob Hintze, “Our business, Waypoint Property Inspection, began as a humble home-based one-man shop. It grew over eleven years into a father-and- son business employing seven inspectors, tripled its revenue in just a few years, moved into an expert-consulting role in the property sales community, and is set to become a million dollar company in the next 24 months. The techniques of Waypoint’s management style is the essence of our book.”
Bob and Austin Hintze’s book distills some of the most crucial servant leadership lessons that have resulted in Waypoint’s astronomical business growth. A birds-eye look at the important tenets in the book include; the importance of opening up to young blood, how and when to communicate “why” to captivate prospects, and the secrets of finding a tribe-collaborating with the competition, operating as a team, building lifelong client relationships, how to nudge from behind and operate in a mentor capacity and the benefits of championing community causes.
Austin Hintze added, “It’s Not About Me: How To Win With Servant Leadership is written specifically for property realtors, but these are really universal techniques that any business can use to grow.”
Prior to opening Waypoint Property Inspection in 2004, Bob Hintze spent over 20 years in the financial services and retail industries as an executive leader. At times he had over 400 associates directly reporting to him, while he simultaneously directed several large departments. In addition to his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Virginia Tech, Bob also earned a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the George Washington University.Â
