Board Certified Pathologist, Dr. Stephen Ruby, Appears on Chicago Radio to Reveal Innovative Patient-Centered Outpatient Pathology Services

Published on June 11, 2015

Transformational and skilled pathologist, Dr. Stephen Ruby was nominated as a Remarkable Expert by a popular Chicago radio show called “Remarkable! Radio”, which spotlights noteworthy Experts, People, Places, and Things from around the globe. Dr. Ruby was featured on the show to discuss Outpatient Pathology Services, so doctors could discover breakthrough ways to help their patients. The show aired on a Saturday afternoon on AM560 The Answer, one of the premier talk stations in Chicago, also home of Hannity, Dennis Miller, and Dave Ramsey, to name a few.

With over 40 years of laboratory experience, Dr. Ruby has worked on tens of thousands of patient cases, and co-authored the book that standardized the way pathologists across the globe report cancer diagnoses to ensure proper treatment selection. Chicago radio show host Mark Imperial asked Dr. Ruby to share his expertise with his audience.

“It’s a privilege to be on the show. It’s exciting and a great opportunity to connect with so many people to help them learn more about their disease process. I work hard to have my laboratory provide information to be more patient focused.” said Dr. Ruby.

“With the transition of medical care to an outpatient setting, there has been an increasing focus on providing quality outpatient services. As an example, patients with nail fungus, an epidemic foot infection seen by podiatrists and general practice doctors, can benefit from comprehensive patient education.   At 4path laboratory, we provide education on this topic to patients directly by sending them my book, My Doctor Says I have Nail Fungus.”

In the interview, Dr. Ruby discussed the approach he has employed to improve the patient’s understanding of nail fungus, how to combat it and prevent it. In addition, as an experienced physician and businessman, Dr. Ruby has helped many health professionals and fellow doctors to implement this patient education into their practices.

“In my position, I have worked with physicians on a daily basis throughout the US for many years. A major issue for physicians is the office time consumed providing answers to patients about common, repetitive questions. This book (My Doctor Says I Have Nail Fungus) is enormously helpful to both patients and physicians, ensuring that patients are receiving high quality, uniform answers while increasing office productivity.  This is a well thought out and effective “must have” for every office,” Paul Pailer, Medical Sales Representative.

“Dr. Ruby’s presentations have the three “E”s: Expertise, Energy and Engagement. He has the ability to present material in a way that everyone can understand. He is an innovative speaker who provides insights that you can immediately apply,” Pamela Cramer, Principal, The PMC Group – Non Profit Leadership Coaching and Management.

Listeners can get more information on 4path’s laboratory services and also request a collection kit to take to their doctor for nail testing on the website – www.4path.com. Dr. Ruby can also be contacted for speaking opportunities.
