Geoff Ables is the chairman of the SharePoint and O365 Strategies for Internal Communications Conference in San Diego, California. The conference, presented by Advanced Learning Institute, is scheduled for May 21-23, 2019 at Hotel Republic San Diego, Marriott Autograph Collection.
Ables will be presenting the keynote address, “Building a People-Centric Digital Workplace,” on May 23. He will provide a visionary look into the future of work and a practical guide for transformation. Ables will describe what people-centric looks like with 5 case studies highlighting how big data, analytics, processes, collaboration and culture must align. Attendees will leave inspired, informed and full of ideas that will drive change, and even transformation in their organizations. They will also learn the 5 common-sense, but not commonly practiced, rules for engagement and the differences between standard business processes and relationship business processes. Attendees will also capture over 15 tips and best practices in their People-Centric Workbook that will be provided.
Ables is also leading the workshop, “Planning for Transformation: Building a SharePoint Roadmap,” on May 21. Digital workplace projects promise to transform companies from tired legacy thinking into teams of engaged employees that disrupt their competitors, but these projects have a way of getting off track. In this session Ables will describe what should be included in a SharePoint Roadmap, how to build it and what to consider leaving out. Attendees will receive a Roadmap Workbook and participate in group exercises that will demonstrate how to build a business case and ROI; why people and processes are more important than the technology; how to engage a leadership team, and keep them engaged; and the role of change management, journey mapping and governance in transforming their businesses.
Ables will also be moderating the session, “I’ve Got the Tools – Now What? Your Biggest SharePoint & O365 Questions Answered,” on May 22. This session is the place for attendees to get answers to specific challenges they need help overcoming with SharePoint and O365 from a panel of thought leaders.
Ables is the author of “The LUCK Principle: Business Results at the Intersection of People & Profit.” In the book he teaches how to harness the power of people, process and technology to transform a business into a digital workplace that balances a people-first culture with bottom-line results.
