Published on April 7, 2022

Christian Care Ministry/Medi-Share, the nation’s most trusted health care sharing ministry, appoints new Director of Outreach to increase the impact, giving, and volunteering in our communities across the country.

Christian Care Ministry/ Medi-Share, America’s most trusted health care sharing ministry, is joined by Jon Yapo as new Outreach Director. In this position, Jon will lead Christian Care Ministry’s Outreach Program, which aligns with CCM’s vision of “Transforming Society Through the Biblical Model of Sharing.”

Jon most recently worked in government affairs where he represented private sector companies at the local and state level. His relationship building, philanthropy expertise, and program start-up and development skills will help expand Christian Care Ministry/ Medi-Share’s reach in supporting other non-profits.

“We are excited to have Jon Yapo join the team at Christian Care Ministry and lead the effort to galvanize the Medi-Share community to have a positive impact across the country. Jon’s extensive experience in coalition building and community service will certainly benefit our national outreach program,” explained Evelio Silvera, V.P. of Communications and Government Affairs.

The vision of Christian Care Ministry/Medi-Share’s National Outreach program is to transform society through the utilization of partnerships and the stewardship of resources that demonstrate our organizational commitment to the Great Commission.

Our National Outreach mission is to provide opportunities for Employees, Medi-Share Members, and Medical Providers, and communities to actively participate in outreach opportunities in which we GIVE, GO, and GROW.

Give: Whether it is a onetime donation, or a reoccurring donation, we invite others to join us in providing financial support to one of our three partner organizations.

Go: We facilitate opportunities to go volunteer both locally and globally.

Grow: We help connect people with your church, and other like-minded organizations in your city to minister to people in need wherever you live.

Medi-Share believes that the strength of our community is not only caring for one another, but also to be a light to people in need.

Medi-Share partners with three non-profit organizations that provide the opportunity to impact communities across the United States for the Kingdom of Heaven. The three nation-wide organizations are:

  • The Global Orphan Project – Empowering communities to care for vulnerable children and families through CarePortal.
  • Missions.Me– Partnering to help break the burden of medical debt across the world.
  • Student Leadership University– Partnering to impact the kingdom by training future leaders.

After a recent project with Medi-Share, Adrien Lewis CarePortal’s Chief Innovation Officer shared, “What spoke to me was the culture of Medi-Share. It is not just an outside thing, it is an inside thing. The way that the people of Medi-Share care for the people that use the service and the way you care for each other, and I was blessed by that. Our team is better for watching you guys work together.”
