On a recent episode of Business Innovators Radio with Alicia Dibrell, Real Estate Agent, Mike Kruse shared the step by step process of buying a first home. Kruse goes into great detail from everything from pre-qualifying process all the way to the closing table.
“You must be realistic about your lifestyle and needs when choosing a neighborhood for your first home,” said Kruse.
Kruse outlined 4 main points every new home buyer should consider: neighborhoods, lifestyle, schools and work. For example, what kind of schools are available; distance to work; what kind of neighborhood, and amenities available.
During the interview, Kruse outlined the rules of how many houses to look at before making a decision, explaining never look at more than five houses in a day to avoid confusion.
“The average person will have to look at about 7-8 homes before making a decision,” said Kruse.
“I have had clients who watch programs on HGTV and think they need to look at 300 before making a decision. As an experienced agent, I look at the expression on my client’s face when looking at a home. Usually, when it is the right home their face will light up and I instantly know.”
Mike Kruse, a Las Vegas real estate agent with more than 12 years of experience, concluded stating, “Don’t over-buy on your first house and comfortable with your mortgage payment. You don’t need to stretch yourself just because in a few years you may need a bigger house. The beautiful thing about owning your home is that you can always sell it when your needs change.”
