Silver Mesa Elementary is a Spanish Dual Immersion school located in Sandy, UT. The school has a student population of about six hundred children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.
This year the school has bolstered its efforts to reduce bullying and improve student leadership by increasing its focus on educating students, teachers and parents on the realities of bullying and anti-bully education.
Principal Fielding stated, “We want to do everything we can to give our students and parents the best possible educational experience. We are definitely in tune with the need to provide great anti-bully education and empowerment. We are excited to work with Brett and the Anti-Bully Program.”
School begins at Silver Mesa on August 24th. The students will start anti-bully training beginning on September 12th and ending on September 15th. The follow up leadership sessions will begin in October and run the entire academic year.
Lechtenberg was quoted as saying, “I am very pleased to be working with Principal Fielding and the incredible team at Silver Mesa. It is obvious how much pride this team has in their school and in providing their students the best student experience possible. I am honored to help reduce bullying and help build a leadership culture in this great school.”
