PROGRAM 15 Join Forces with Five Tool Showcases To Provide Expanded College Recruitment and Pro Draft Opportunities for Amateur Baseball Talent Nationwide

Published on February 27, 2019

PROGRAM 15, the Official Global Grassroots Player Identification and Development Program for New Balance Baseball, and Five Tool Showcases, a leader in amateur baseball showcase and tournament operations throughout the Midwest and Western USA, announce collaboration for New Balance Future Stars Series.

Continuing their unwavering commitment to change the game of baseball, PROGRAM 15 has announced their collaboration with Five Tool Showcases on New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series Events.

Five Tool Showcases will work hand in hand with 2D Sports to manage Team and Family Focused Event Logistics for Future Stars Series Tournaments around the country, including Super Regionals, leading up to the highly anticipated National Trials this summer. This will allow PROGRAM 15’s staff of former Major League and professional players, scouts, and coaches to focus on the professional scouting and development of the players.

Five Tool Founder and President, Lynn Vanlandingham stated, “The vision of PROGRAM 15 to partner with the clubs and provide a system to assist in the analysis, development and promotion of the club’s players aligns with the vision that Cherie and I had when we founded Five Tool”.

Started in January of 2013 as a joint effort between college coaches and select clubs to establish events that provide quality competition at quality venues, Five Tool events allow the players to showcase their abilities in a manner that is friendly to the college recruiters and professional scouts while allowing the clubs to maintain fiscal responsibility to their members.

Vanlandingham, added, “Another, exciting aspect of this venture is to provide OBJECTIVE data for the players. Subjective rankings currently garner much attention in the Travel Ball world; however, objective data allows a player to establish a baseline of where he is today and set out a plan to improve his skills. After establishing a baseline, a parent can invest their money in strength, hitting or pitching coaches instead of chasing the same data in showcase after showcase. We believe that this combination of quality individual events, in conjunction with our traditional tournaments will provide a high value to our customer base.”

PROGRAM 15 will also serve as the Amateur Baseball Player Identification Partner of Five Tool Showcases West and Midwest Regions for 2019.

Jeremy Booth, PROGRAM 15 Founder, CEO and President of Baseball Operations for The New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series, said, “Lynn and the Vtool crew have established a level of event that has changed the landscape of amateur baseball. Working with him and his group of professionals is a natural fit. With their established relationship with 2D, it’s an easy marriage to change the game and come together for the good of the players.”

ABOUT FIVE TOOL
Five Tool Showcases was established in January of 2013. The foundation was a joint effort between college coaches and select clubs to establish events that provide quality competition at quality venues. The goal is to provide events that allow the players to showcase their abilities and do so in a manner that is friendly to the college recruiters and professional scouts while allowing the clubs to maintain fiscal responsibility to their members. Five Tool’s goal is to host local teams seeking exposure for their players while accommodating out of town clubs in a manner that minimizes travel and the expense associated with select baseball. The mix of local and regional clubs provides great competition in a central location that is convenient for college recruiters and professional scouts in the central, Midwest, Northwest, Southeast, Texas, and West regions.
