FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Canton, MI – May 19, 2017: Renaissance Roofing, Inc.
Renaissance Roofing, Inc., of Canton, Michigan, has received the most prestigious contractor award GAF offers: The GAF President’s Club Award. This highly coveted award recognizes Renaissance Roofing as one of the “elite of the elite” residential roofing contractors in the United States.
GAF is North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, and only GAF Master Elite(R) Contractors can compete for its residential President’s Club Award. To qualify for this award, a residential roofing contractor must meet specific criteria in at least one out of three different pathways: the Performance pathway, where contractors focus on giving their property owners the best possible service, quality, and protection; the Reliability pathway, where the contractor has a long history of offering their customers the best quality and protection; and the Service pathway, where contractors consistently offer their customers the best protection available in the marketplace.
Renaissance Roofing has been a GAF Master Elite(R) Contractor since 2008; the company received the President’s Club Award due to its excellent performance in 2016. To become a Master Elite(R) Contractor–a status that less than 2% of roofing contractors nationwide are able to achieve–a candidate must demonstrate proper licensing, maintain insurance (in states that require it), have a proven reputation, and show commitment to ongoing professional training.
New customers of Renaissance Roofing are people who have done their research and due diligence before selecting their contractor, according to vice president Karen DePriest. “We tend to find very highly educated consumers purchasing roofs from us–these are people who know their roofs. They recognize our commitment to quality, both in products and installation, as well as our trained employees and installers. They want that same level of quality for their homes.”
“Anybody can install shingles on a roof,” continues DePriest, “but you’ll have big, big problems down the road if it’s not installed properly. At Renaissance, we look not only at the roof but also at the attic insulation and ventilation. If those aren’t up to code, the roof will not have the longevity that it’s supposed to have. Nine of ten homeowners in Michigan lack proper insulation. So we definitely try to educate homeowners about these matters. When a customer says, ‘I just want to replace the roof,’ we explain what will occur if insulation and ventilation problems aren’t corrected as well.”
Protection for the homeowner’s interest is accompanied by an emphasis on safety. “Every one of our job sites is OSHA-compliant; very few contractors follow those standards like we do,” adds DePriest. “Our crews have all the necessary equipment to do their jobs safely. And we commit to regular recertification and training.”
A small, family-owned company, Renaissance always looks to support innovative products, such as GAF’s Tiger Paw(TM) synthetic underlayment. “It’s more breathable than felt paper,” says DePriest. “We now include it at no cost in all of our packages. Great new products serve the customers better and help us grow the business, as well.”
The company is rated A+ with the Better Business Bureau and is a multi-year recipient of the GAF President’s Club Award and the Angie’s List Super Service Award. Renaissance also contributes to the community with its involvement in Habitat for Humanity and its “Blitz Build” project in Detroit.
“We have great passion for our customers,” concludes DePriest, “and treat them with the utmost respect. Our motto is ‘It takes more than shingles to make a roof’–and it’s the truth. We try to make customers as happy as possible by installing the best product that we can.”
