FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Macon, GA – May 26, 2017: Schwartz Residential Roofing
Schwartz Residential Roofing of Macon, Georgia, has received the most prestigious contractor award GAF offers: The GAF President’s Club Award. This highly coveted award recognizes Schwartz Residential Roofing as one of the “elite of the elite” residential roofing contractors in the United States.
GAF is North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, and only GAF Master Elite(R) Contractors can compete for its residential President’s Club Award. To qualify for this award, a residential roofing contractor must meet specific criteria in at least one out of three different pathways: the Performance pathway, where contractors focus on giving their property owners the best possible service, quality, and protection; the Reliability pathway, where the contractor has a long history of offering their customers the best quality and protection; and the Service pathway, where contractors consistently offer their customers the best protection available in the marketplace.
Schwartz Residential Roofing has been a GAF Master Elite(R) Contractor since 2010; the company received the President’s Club Award due to its excellent performance in 2016. To become a Master Elite(R) Contractor–a status that less than 2% of roofing contractors nationwide are able to achieve–a candidate must demonstrate proper licensing, maintain insurance (in states that require it), have a proven reputation, and show commitment to ongoing professional training.
It’s not often that a prospective roofing customer can find a contractor that’s been in the business since the early years of the last century–but Schwartz Residential Roofing is one such company. “There are just not many businesses that have been around for 105 years, let alone a roofing business,” explains Joe Hanson, general manager. “That length tells you something–that obviously our service is good, our quality is excellent, and we know how to do business because we’ve been in business for this long. There’s also a trust factor, because of the fact that the Schwartz name has been around as long as it has. With our reputation, you can trust us to do the job correctly. There is really no risk to the homeowner who chooses Schwartz to do a roof.”
“Our reputation within the community is our number one asset,” continues Hanson. “Part of that comes from being a fifth-generation, family-owned business. But going along with that is GAF’s Golden Pledge warranty. In our market, we’re the only contractor that can offer that warranty.”
According to vice president George Jones, communication is another big factor in the company’s success. “It differentiates us from our competition. At any time of day, any day of the week, you can reach a live person by phone. That makes a big difference in our industry.”
Jones has served as president of Georgia’s State Roofing Contractors Association. Schwartz Roofing has received the Angie’s List Super Service Award and holds an A+ accreditation with the Better Business Bureau. Hanson explains: “We’re known not only as a quality roofing company but one that’s involved within the community and gives back.”
Going forward, the company expects to continue its growth, as well as increase awareness of Schwartz’s expansion into siding. “People are surprised to learn this,” says Jones. “It’s one of our biggest things,” adds Hanson. “We offer both vinyl and fiber cement siding.”
Hanson and Jones conclude by pointing out the company’s growing reach. “Back in 2014, we actually completed projects in nine different states, from Maryland to Florida. This demonstrates what we’ve been saying: we’re established, we’ve been around a long-time, and our footprint is pretty large.”
