Entrepreneur T. Allen Hanesis featured in the new book, “The Authority Mindset.” The book recently reached three Amazon Top Ten Best Seller lists and is currently available in the Amazon Kindle bookstore.

This triple best-selling book reached the #1 spot in the ‘Professional Development’ category, the #2 slot in the ‘E-Commerce’ category, and the #4 slot in the ‘Web Marketing’ category on Wednesday August 13, 2014.

The book was compiled from conversations, mastermind sessions and the experience of top marketing consultants around the world on the specific and powerful topic of Authority Positioning. Each contributing author has spent years helping entrepreneurs, business owners and professionals, not just with marketing tactics, but with developing “The Authority Mindset” that is required to gain the expert recognition from prospects, customers and even national media.

T. Allen Hanes’ entry point into entrepreneurialism was at an early age when he needed money to build a raft for a race down the White River. Hanes sold the owner of the local grocery store advertising space on his raft to fund the construction. “I was 13 years old and that was my first local marketing deal that I ever did in my life,” says Hanes.

From there Hanes had a love for photography. He studied photography and worked photographing home inventory for insurance purposes. Hanes dropped out of college and became a photographer in the US Navy.  He thought it would be a great idea to be able to travel the world, get paid for it, and do photography. Hanes retired as a US Navy Photographer and Video Cameraman/Producer in 1998.

After retiring from the Navy, Hanes became interested in self-publishing books when a friend asked for advice. Hanes explains, “I immersed myself on how to self-publish. I published this gentleman’s first book and when I did he was so excited that I accomplished this for him. I mean, handing him that book was priceless. His face and his excitement were priceless and I was hooked. I knew that this was what I was supposed to do, solve that problem.”

Now, Hanes positions people in the marketplace as the authority by publishing their books, producing their podcasts, producing hangouts, and getting those footprints on the Internet so they can be found as the authority in their industry.
