W. David Medina Ph.D., a Springfield Karate School Owner, was highlighted in a photo for USAToday.com about Autism. W. David Medina Ph.D. was selected due to his special expertise on educating children on the autism spectrum.

November 2015 – Karate School Owner W. David Medina Ph.D. of Medina Kenpo Karate in Springfield, PA was selected out of thousands of Karate School Owners to appear in a national photo essay in USA Today on Autism.

W. David Medina Ph.D. was selected mainly because of his years of success in working with special needs children and families at The Kinney Center of St. Joe’s University and his karate school in Springfield.

“It was an honor to be recognized on such a big scale,” says Medina. “I hope this picture helps to show special needs families the infinite possibilities that their families can experience.”

The published picture showed two brothers sharing a hug during a belt ceremony celebration. Both brothers are part of the classes geared towards kids on the autism spectrum.
