Dr. Stephen Kalaluhi and Eric V. Campbell San Diego Homeless Advocates Sign Contract To Publish Book To Help Organizers Build Successful Homeless Outreach Programs

This book outlines the critical aspects of what homeless outreach organizers need to be aware of as they lead volunteers, scope out their location, and most importantly it gives them the guidance and confidence they need to be successful in building a successful outreach program.

Dr. Stephen Kalaluhi and Eric V. Campbell San Diego Homeless Advocates signed the contract to publish their book on how to build a successful homeless outreach program with Professional Journal Publishing this month. The book, Giving A Voice To The Voiceless, will act as a primer to those that want to establish a homeless outreach program that will be successful.

Dr. Stephen Kalaluhi told us “What this world is in desperate need of – people who are equipped and willing to make a difference where they can and with whom they can. Life is hard enough as it is, and there is so much adversity to overcome. If you read this book, I believe you’re one of those people who can, and will be, that difference maker. I believe that you will be the reason one of our homeless friends turns their lives around. I believe that you will be the voice of those who no longer feel as though their voice is being heard.”

The book deals with all of the separate challenges an organizer faces when building a homeless outreach program. The book deals with how to handle adversity, building a following, choosing a location, finding supporters, working with volunteers, managing expectations, building leadership teams and so much more.

“My heart and passion is to see our homeless community given a voice.” Eric wrote in the Forward, “To ensure my homeless friends have a voice, I need to get this material into as many hands as I can. Please understand that this is not a competition to see who can build the biggest or the best program. Rather, this is about building as many programs as we possibly can. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters to me is that our homeless community is blessed, respected, and taken from where they are now to where they want to be.”

Watch for the book to be published soon. It will be available on Kindle and soon after as a paperback.
