The book officially launched on May 4th, 2015 and found its way to the #1 spot on several Amazon best seller lists. It received the #1 ranking in Amazon’s “Cinematography” category and “Arts & Photography” category in the United States on Friday, May 15, 2015. It also reached #1 on Germany’s “Cinematic Arts” category on that same day.

The new book also got other rankings on Amazon’s best seller lists.

Judy Blair is a mobile videographer in the Silicon Valley in California who specializes in helping families create family legacy videos to pass on to future generations.

“Everyone has boxes of photos in closets and garages of past family members that they can’t identify or recognize,” says Judy. “My goal is to help families and parents take their legacies to future generations through video. Videos don’t fade and deteriorate with time the way that pictures do. Pictures don’t preserve situations or voices either. That’s why I had to write this book.”

According to a recent survey, 86% of baby boomers and 74% of Americans age 72 and up believe that documenting family history is a high priority in passing on stories to their younger generations. Passing on legacy becomes increasingly important to large numbers of people with increasing age.

The big goal behind this book is to help families everywhere treasure and honor the lives of the older generations for a long time to come.”
