MESA, AZ , Sept. 7, 2026 – West is proud to announce the induction of Alexandria (Alex) M. Dorsey, Owner, President/CEO of GD Barri & Associates, Inc., into Milestones to Millions, recognizing her extraordinary journey as an entrepreneur, executive, and business leader.
Dorsey will be formally recognized during the WBEC-West Milestones to Millions Luncheon on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the PERA Club in Tempe, Arizona.
Milestones to Millions recognizes accomplished women business owners who have built and sustained successful enterprises while demonstrating the vision, resilience, leadership, and determination necessary to create lasting business and community impact.
From a Shared Vision to an Enduring Legacy
Dorsey’s professional journey began in 1984 in technical project financial controls and business financial management for an East Coast utility. After relocating to the West Coast, she met Georgia D. Barri in 1988, beginning a partnership that would ultimately create a lasting entrepreneurial legacy.
In 1989, Dorsey and Barri combined their talents and resources to establish GD Barri & Associates, Inc.
For nearly 30 years, Dorsey served as the company’s original Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In that capacity, she directed financial management, project controls, accounting oversight, administration, and day-to-day operational activities.
As a key member of the company’s Senior Management Team, Dorsey helped develop the strategies necessary for an emerging company to compete against larger and more established organizations in a predominantly male industry. Her leadership extended to process development, beta testing, customized database reporting programs, and complex issues involving contract services, labor law, and co-employment.
Following the passing of her longtime business partner and co-founder, Georgia D. Barri, in 2019, Dorsey stepped forward to continue the company they had built together.
Leading GD Barri into Its Next Chapter
Since 2019, Dorsey has served as Owner, President/CEO, assuming responsibility for the overall stewardship and future direction of GD Barri & Associates.
Today, she leads the development of the company’s tactical and strategic plans, establishes corporate policies and procedures, coordinates the activities of the Senior Management Team, and remains involved in senior-level consulting projects.
Dorsey also oversees critical aspects of business development, including solicitation responses and bid negotiations, while determining the company’s corporate trajectory and identifying opportunities for continued growth.
Her leadership represents both continuity and evolution—honoring the foundation she and Georgia D. Barri established while positioning the company for its next generation of success.
