Adams Roofing Professionals, Inc., of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, has received GAF’s most prestigious contractor award: The GAF President’s Club Award. This highly coveted award recognizes Adams Roofing as one of the “elite of the elite” residential roofing contractors in the United States.
GAF is North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, and only GAF Master Elite(R) Contractors can compete for its President’s Club Award. To qualify for this award, a contractor must demonstrate an exceptional level of excellence in their business, especially in the areas of Installation Excellence, Consumer Protection, and Installer Training.
Adams Roofing has been a GAF Master Elite(R) Contractor since 1997. To become a Master Elite(R) Contractor–a status that less than 2% of roofing contractors nationwide have achieved–a candidate must demonstrate proper licensing and adequate insurance, have a proven reputation and show commitment to ongoing professional training.
Trained, qualified people, exacting standards, and constant communication are hallmarks at Adams Roofing Professionals, according to company president Stathie Panayi. “We have factory-trained, certified installers who take the extra steps to make sure a roof is installed per the manufacturer’s specifications. That’s something that is really big with our customer base. We don’t subcontract anything–our employees are trained, and all work is performed under our supervision. Our extremely low turnover rate–some employees have been with us for more than 20 years–is something we take pride in. We’ve got a core group of people who truly care about the company.”
Expanding on the company’s communications processes, Panayi adds, “Our production and sales departments are involved in every step. As soon as a proposal is accepted, it is sent to our production manager, who then is in constant contact with the employees. The company owner is also always involved with stopping out, saying hello, and ensuring that the crew is aware of everything that is in the proposal. As for the homeowner, we’ve always got a foreman on the job who will answer homeowner questions or concerns. We also stay in constant communication via email or our social media accounts. Customers aren’t really calling our office looking for status updates because they’re constantly in the loop–we are literally always in contact with the customer.”
Adams Roofing has been in business for more than 35 years, yet it still stays current with industry standards. “We’ve got a very good role in the NRCA, the National Roofing Contractors Association,” explains Panayi. “Working with NRCA has been a good key role for us.” The adherence to current quality standards shows, as the company always completes a 10-point roof inspection at the end of each job.
Going forward into 2015, the company plans to expand exterior service offerings with its new division for siding, insulation, and gutter work. “And again,” states Panayi, “all the work is done by our own trained employees, which is important.”
