Agency Represented Lifestyle Model Khalia Monique was the featured guest on Influencers Radio with Jack Mize.

Confidence can be one of the most important characteristics a person can have for advancing in careers, personal relationships, or just about anything you want to excel at in life. But for a lot of people, it’s also one of the most difficult things to develop.

On a recent episode of Influencers Radio with Jack Mize, Agency Represented Lifestyle Model Khalia Monique discussed how she is helping women learn how to show up beautifully and confidently in the world.

Khalia understands how vital confidence is in how one is perceived by others. As the former owner of a modeling and talent agency who has been in the fashion industry for over 20 years, she has trained models in the art of being poised and confident.

Khalia studied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, receiving a degree in Fashion and Retail Management, and later received certifications in Image, Presentation, and Etiquette Coaching.

While training models in the industry, Khalia saw a lot of circumstances where models needed greater support and care. With a heart for a person’s whole wellness—not just their career success—but a person’s whole spirit and how they show up in life, she furthered her education, earning a Master’s degree in Counseling at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

During the interview, Khalia shared what fuels her passion for helping others, saying, “Understanding the importance of a person’s whole wellness, not just their career success, not just a fly by night, make a million bucks, and now I can travel the world type of mindset.  I say this often, ‘How are you REALLY?’ Not just ‘How are you?’ But ‘How are you REALLY?’ In my 20s, I could recall being backstage at runway shows and just seeing models fall apart, having anxiety attacks, and just complete nervousness before they hit the runway. I would often coach them, without a degree, on breathing techniques and recentering themselves before we even went to the stage to walk the runway or do the photoshoot. So, I learned really quickly that my passion was not only just someone’s self-image and how they showed up, but how they handled their overall health and their mindset. And it led me to getting my Master’s in Counseling because I just saw it time and time again, in the fashion industry, where the perception of perfect, really wasn’t the case. I wanted to help do something about that specifically with the models, the talent, and those in entertainment, who needed someone to talk to and could understand what they were going through.”

After taking some time away to marry and start her family, Khalia re-entered the fashion world as a professional model who now has three agency-represented children of her own.

Khalia’s combination of modeling, counseling education, and experience provides a unique perspective that allows her to help women look beautiful and confident and be beautiful and confident for themselves.

Today, as a wife, mom of three, and professional model with over 20 years of fashion industry experience, she brings her journey of self-love, inner-confidence, and passion for fashion to her coaching programs. She helps everyday people, from adolescence to women entering that next stage of life, to be poised and confident in any situation.
