Brian is the owner of The Easy Button, a business that helps Financial Services firms and other organizations make Customer Satisfaction an easier measure to capture, compare and improve. Brian Richards is featured in the new book, “The Authority Mindset”. The book recently reached three Amazon Top Ten Best Seller lists and is currently available in the Amazon Kindle bookstore.
This triple best-selling book reached the #1 spot in the ‘Professional Development’ category, the #2 slot in the ‘E-Commerce’ category, and the #4 slot in the ‘Web Marketing’ category on Wednesday August 13, 2014.
The book was compiled from conversations, mastermind sessions and the experience of top marketing consultants around the world on the specific and powerful topic of Authority Positioning. Each contributing author has spent years helping entrepreneurs, business owners and professionals, not just with marketing tactics, but with developing “The Authority Mindset” that is required to gain the expert recognition from prospects, customers and even national media.
Richards graduated with an Engineering Degree and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and went to work for the second largest computer company in the world marketing computer systems. As a sales engineer, he became more interested in the actual business of his clients and wanted to understand what they were trying to achieve in their businesses.
During this time, Richards learned the importance of niche marketing. He specialized in Accounting firms and developed a set of customized marketing materials for Accountants. Richards didn’t stay self-employed for his entire career and moved in and out of employment and self-employment several times. In his second bout of self-employment from 2001, he established a consulting firm Accelerated Outcomes Pty Ltd. He says, “I was older, hopefully a little bit wiser and definitely more experienced.” Once again, Richards found that niche marketing was the way forward and began to coach others on how to use niche marketing to grow their own business.
In a recent project, Richards and his business partner developed and launched a coaching service, called PetBiz Profits.
“We take people through a three-month coaching program and we implement a five step Authority Marketing process. It’s a very comprehensive process that takes pet business owners through positioning as an authority, product creation, being published, promoting through multiple channels and then profiting through multiple revenue streams. For the first round of coaching, we’ve customized the program for pet store owners, pet retailers, distributors and wholesalers. We also offer a generic version of our program through my main company Accelerated Outcomes for those outside the pet industry and we have plans to expand our offerings for different niche businesses in the future,” Richards says.
Richards’ current project is The Easy Button, a simple way for businesses to capture, compare and improve customer satisfaction across their branches or stores.
