Bridgette Chamberlain Puts the Real in Real Estate With Old Fashioned Advice and Service

Published on December 15, 2014

Old fashioned service is the foundation for buyers and sellers in real estate according to Bridgette Chamberlain

A recent article in Realtor Magazine asked consumers what they want from a real estate agent and the top three responses were honesty, putting their interest first and an in depth knowledge of the market. Savvy Real Estate Agent Bridgette Chamberlain set out to accomplish all of that and more with the launch of Chamberlain Realty.

“We are putting the REAL back in real estate,” said Bridgette Chamberlain. “My granddad taught me to always come from a place of contribution and you will never be in lack and that is the foundation of our firm…people first,” she added.

The real estate market is constantly changing and always evolving. According to Realtor.com‘s National Housing Trend Report for April shows that median list prices rose 6.5%, to $207,500, compared to last year. Both the number of single-family homes for sale and their price tags are on the rise, proving that the housing market in 2014 is already healthier than it was in 2013.

“Consumers want to know that you will not just answer the phone and their questions, but that you will put their interest ahead of your own. This is the largest transaction most people will make, so our mission is to become their advocate and someone they can trust for their lifetime,” said Bridgette Chamberlain.

Because the foundation of Chamberlain Realty is contribution, Bridgette offers three fundamental tips for consumers.

First Bridgette says that before buying or selling real estate you should get fully approved by a lender.

“Today’s lending is different than in the past. Getting pre-approved lets the client know so much including down payment, monthly payment and closing cost. It’s critical that the consumer gets an approval from a trustworthy lender and we have personally vetted several that we can refer to our clients,” said Bridgette.

Bridgette’s second tip is to choose a Realtor that you like and trust to help you in the process.

“Buyers and sellers should interview agents to make sure they are working with someone who puts them first,” said Bridgette.

And finally Bridgette says consumers should choose their community before they begin touring homes.

“Every community has a heartbeat and vibrance that buyers should consider to ensure it meets their taste,” added Bridgette.

Chamberlain Realty takes its beginning from the lessons that Bridgette’s grandfather taught her growing up, such as treat your customer as the most important person in the world and if you want to be an expert in anything, go and read a book.

When she decided to launch Chamberlain Realty, she received her grandfather’s desk and inside she found a penny. That penny is proof to her that those childhood lessons will serve many clients for years to come.
