BruxRelief, Smart Device That Treats Bruxism Disorder, Launches Kickstarter Campaign

Published on June 27, 2017

BruxRelief is a wearable smart device that detects bruxism early and eliminates it using biofeedback therapy.  Founder, Brock Predovich, recently launched a Kickstarter Campaign to build and manufacture.

Brock Predovich, inventor and founder of BruxRelief has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the manufacturing of his teeth grinding detection and biofeedback therapy device.

The BruxRelief device will attach behind the user’s ear using a medical grade reusable adhesive gel. The device uses patent pending sensor technology to measure muscle activity when the user is clenching or grinding their teeth.

Once the device senses clenching or grinding during stressful events or sleep, the device will emit a signal to the subconscious to stop the behavior without disturbing the wearer’s workday or sleep.

The device will also communicate via bluetooth with a smartphone and the free BruxRelief app. You can use the app to customize the therapy and track progress. There is also and online web portal to share therapy and progress with dentists.

Amidst recent TV interviews of Demi Moore bravely showing off pictures of when she lost her front tooth while grinding her teeth at night because of stress and even New York Times Best Selling Author Tim Ferris recently tweeting that he just discovered that he suffers from bruxism disorder (unconscious teeth grinding) people are becoming more aware of this silent, destructive disorder that affects one in every three people.

Moore explained, “I think it’s something that’s important to share because I think it’s literally, probably after heart disease, one of the biggest killers in in America, which is stress. Stress sheared off my front tooth.”

According the the Academy of General Dentistry, one in three people clench or grind their teeth unconsciously during the day or night. The problem is that only about 10% of those that suffer from bruxism don’t even know it, only 10% are ever diagnosed.

People grind their teeth do to several factors but stress is the leading cause of bruxism disorder… unfortunately it’s extremely hard to detect bruxism early in a patient. Usually a dentist is only able to detect bruxism after damage or pain occurs in the patient. Resulting in $1000’s in dental bills.

Predovich explains, “what I’m really excited about is the innovations we’ve made in building our device. We’ve invented patent-pending technology that costs just a fraction of the cost of our competitors. Finally we’ll be able to offer dentists and bruxism sufferers a real solution for detecting and treating bruxism disorder, before damage to one’s teeth ever occurs.”

Real Housewives star Bethenny Frankel, has been getting botox injections for the last few years to deal with her bruxism, but for many, this kind of treatment would be considered extreme and not to mention expensive. With Predovich’s BruxRelief device, bruxism sufferers can destress their life and treat bruxism behavior for less than $100. This is truly a huge breakthrough in technology and help more people detect their bruxism before it’s too late and easily treat it using the same revolutionary device.
