On a recent episode of Remarkable Radio WCKG AM/FM Chicago with Mark Imperial, Christina Andino, Chicagoland Realtor, discussed Chicagoland Market Trends.
According to Andino, the Chicagoland market is thriving with activity.
Andino, said “I’m based out of Hinsdale. I live in the Hinsdale-LaGrange area. I work with people in that area and going south towards the Lemont-Lockport area and even into Orland Park. I work with sellers as well as buyers, specifically first-time home buyers. Then there are those moving up and needing more room, downsizing is very popular with Seniors right now especially into the 55+ communities.”.
When host Mark Imperial asked if buyers are acting fast today, Andino answered, “I have to say, starting off in this new year, the buyers are ‘BAM’ out of the starting gate. I think a lot of it is because the interest rates are still historically low and buyers know that the spring competition is coming. So you know they want to get in there, and I think this spring is really going to be crazy for the buyers – a lot of multiple offers, and it’s going to be a lot like last year”.
During the Interview Andino shared tips for sellers, explaining, “definitely talk to a realtor, we’re going to be able to give a lot of good advice and just walk you through it, and help you find the right people to get the home ready and have it looking its best; have it priced right; and be able to market it to the right people, attracting the right people to it…When you’re in this business, you have such a network that you build over time. You know where the right people are for the specific types of properties. You know where to go and where to market the most heavily; and then a lot of it is negotiating once a buyer is found. We’re getting in there and doing all that so the clients don’t have to do that kind of stuff – doing the work that isn’t always easy or fun. I mean these aren’t things that they’re just going to know off-hand themselves how to do. It makes a difference in how quickly the home sells and making sure you get top dollar, so it makes a big difference there”.

She surrounds herself with a top-notch team of attorneys, lenders, and inspectors as well as contractors, organizers, stagers, and cleaning crews. She is an active member of The National Association of Realtors, The Mainstreet Board of Realtors, Women’s Council of Realtors South West Chapter, Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce, Hinsdale Historical Society Women’s Board and she is a volunteer with Wellness House in Hinsdale as well as several animal rescues.
The interview concluded with Andino saying “One thing I would like to say is, this is a good time to get in there. If you want to sell, it’s a good time because you’ve got the upper hand, inventory is short. If you’re a buyer, there are a lot of great programs out there right now to help you with closing costs and down payment. I’ve got wonderful lenders that are so good at counseling people and just helping them figure out what they can do; what they qualify for, so now’s the time to do it. Now’s the time to jump in”.
