On a recent episode of The Inside Track with Markus Loving, Don Johanson, Founder and CEO of Johanson Painting and Handyman Services, discussed His Formula for Happy Clients and Happy Workers On Business Innovators Radio.
According to Johanson, he believes satisfied clients make for the best work environment for him and his team.
Johanson, said “My theory is if the client is happy and the workers are happy, and if the business owner is happy, it’s a win win win situation. So we want to make sure that we give them the end result that they’re looking for”.
When host Markus Loving asked what led you into the painting field, Johanson answered, “Right out of high school, I went to college and I started doing painting. And what I like really liked about it was there was always the end result; you start off with something and at the end you had an end result and typically it was a client that was extremely happy with how the project turned out or how it had changed their environment whether it be the office or their home. It always made me feel good coming home from working, and not only I was happy because I improved and made somebody happy, but that the client was happy”.
During the Interview Johanson shared who inspired him and helped him get to where he is today? Explaining, “My grandfather. He was actually in the trades years ago and when I was a kid I used to go on jobs with him. And it was always about working with my hands and being busy and a hands-on type of experience. I remember that he was always happy when he grabbed the tools. And when he put down the tools, he’d go fishing and forget about work. He just seemed like a happy guy and that inspired me”.
