“The Million Dollar Smile”, currently scheduled for release in early 2018, will aim to provide patients with the most up-to-date information on state of the art dental treatment. The main purpose of the book, according to Blue Ocean Publishing Group’s purchasing agent, Anna Foster, is to give patients real, practical information to help them in obtaining the best possible restorative and cosmetic dental work.
The book will feature contributions from expert dentists selected from across the country who are skilled and trained in the latest dental treatment procedures. Foster notes that, “These expert dentists can provide people with all the necessary information for anyone seeking cosmetic or restorative dental treatment.” Dr. Curtis Hayes will be contributing a chapter on the latest digital techniques and advances in oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry. The chapter also explores how utilizing this cutting-edge technology improves safety and the quality of results that patients receive.
Notably, the book is being written in layman’s language that the average person can easily understand. It is intended not as a textbook for dental professionals, but rather as a helpful guide for ordinary people looking for top quality dental work. The expert contributors to “The Million Dollar Smile” are dentists who have advanced training and skills in modern dentistry and vast experience with procedures such as implants, veneers, and orthodontics.
Blue Ocean Publishing is working with Barak Granot of the dental marketing agency, DentoMetrix, to assemble the most knowledgeable team of experts as contributors to the book.
Dr. Hayes received his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the United States Air Force Academy and then moved on to the University of Colorado’s School of Dentistry, where he graduated magna cum laude with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2003. Dr. Hayes worked, post-graduation, as a general dentist at Lackland Air Force base in Texas. After realizing he was interested in pursuing an oral surgery specialization, he moved on to study the specialty at Wilford Hall Medical Center and became the Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at a base in Ramstein, Germany, offering exceptional care to wounded soldiers coming out of the Middle East. He was eventually named the U.S. Air Force Dentist of the Year in 2013.
Currently, Dr. Hayes is the chief oral surgeon at Coal Creek, a well-respected educator, and a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American and Colorado Dental Associations, and the Colorado Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Hayes is passionate about service, whether it’s for the armed forces or for his patients. “Serving others is a huge part of who I am, as a doctor and as a person.
