Dr. Daniel Knowles, Chiropractic Specialist, of Network Family Wellness Center in Boulder, was interviewed on Influential Entrepreneurs about the recent publishing of his research study: “Improvement in Heart Rate Variability in 46 Patients Undergoing Chiropractic with Network Spinal Analysis: A Retrospective Analysis of Outcomes.”
In this inspiring interview, listeners will learn about the importance of the spine to the overall function of the nervous system. Dr. Knowles reveals how the health of the nervous system, heart, and whole body can be improved through gentle and precise touches on the spine through Network Spinal Analysis (NSA).
Dr. Knowles’ published study, in the Annals of Vertebral Subluxation Research, focuses on improving heart rate variability, the measure of spaces between the beats of the heart and how varied they are, which is a sign of a good nervous system. Decreased heart rate variability is often associated with poor cardiovascular health and other problems. Dr. Knowles research goal was to demonstrate if chiropractic care utilizing NSA can have a more positive impact on heart rate variability. The study found that treatment with NSA can be an effective method for boosting nervous system function with the gentle adjustment of the spine and the reorganization of spinal tension which can help to reduce stress and bring about positive neurological changes.
“The body of research relative to Network Spinal Analysis is growing,” states Dr. Knowles. “We are grateful to contribute to that and have additional papers we are working on, including a case study of someone’s structural changes post spinal surgery as well as a case review of over 260 X-rays in our office, which will be the largest on a gentle approach, and the largest outcome study via X-ray of a gentle approach like ours.”
