Veterinarian, Dr Nathan Scholten, Owner of Hopi Animal Hospital, Scottsdale, AZ was selected out of thousands of veterinarians to appear in a national photo essay in USA Today on animal surgery.
Dr Scholten was selected because of his track record of safe animal surgery and standing in his local community.

Dr Scholten is a former Commander of the 53rd Med Det VC. And has been awarded the prestigious Upjohn Award for Proficiency & Excellence in Small Animal Medicine. He is seen in the USA Today photo performing a complex animal surgery.
