Forbes Riley has been called one of today’s greatest marketers. She has sold everything from the Jack LaLanne Juicer to her own Spin Gym, appearing on numerous infomercials and television shows. Her total sales of lifestyle products include more than $2 billion from television marketing. She was inducted into the Fitness Hall of Fame as a fitness expert and appears regularly on many television shows, including The Doctors. She is also the host of numerous television series including The X-Games on ESPN and Essentials on TLC.Â
Recently, Forbes Riley shared her insights into how to be successful in an interview with host Jack Mize on Influencers Radio. She noted that she never “played by the rules”; instead, she advises young business owners to listen to their own instincts and do what is right for them.
However, she cautioned that most people “simply do not dream big enough.” Quoting her own motto, which she has engraved in her studio makeup counter, she encouraged others to “Dream It, Believe It, Achieve It.’ You should also think of the word ‘no’ as ‘neverending opportunity.'”
She also gave practical advice for those who want to achieve success in business. “One thing that is very important that most people do not do is to know what the end is,” she says. “You need to know what you are moving toward and what you want. When you have a great pitch, you have a superpower. If you can visualize what you want, you are unstoppable.”
Riley also noted that enthusiasm was the key to successful sales. “No matter who you are, my hope for you is that you find something that you are ‘all in’ about. If you do, you will be successful despite any obstacles in your way and you will be successful beyond your wildest dreams.” According to Riley, love for what a person does is the cornerstone to a successful attitude, as well as belief in their product or service.
