C5 Insight’s Geoff Ables was selected as the Chairperson for the “Intranets for Employee Communications” conference in San Francisco. He will also be the presenter for two sessions.

Geoff Ables, C5 Insight Managing Partner, will be the chairperson at the “Intranets for Employee Communications” conference being held in San Francisco, CA May 22-24, 2018. The conference is organized by Advanced Learning Institute and is being held at The Marker San Francisco Hotel at Union Square. Attendees will discover tips and techniques to help them modernize their organizations’ intranets to meet the needs of the changing workplace. They will also learn how their intranets can be used to enhance employee communications. Experienced leaders will describe their challenges, success stories and how they collaborate with internal departments to achieve organization goals.

In addition to chairing the conference, Ables will be presenting two sessions. He will lead the pre-conference interactive workshop, “The Five C’s to Building a Better Intranet Governance Plan.” Many intranet projects start successfully, but then rapidly become another document graveyard. Participants will learn how to develop intranet content strategy and establish clear community guidelines and a governance plan that will make intranets secure, up-to-date, relevant and useful to the organization. Ables will also be the presenter for the session, “5 Megatrends to Create a Successful Employee-Centric Digital Workplace.” Attendees will learn the 5 megatrends that shape success – or failure – of digital transformations and how these trends can be applied to improve digital workplace strategy and execution.

“Poor internal communications within large or fast-moving organizations is not only lowering organizational performance, it is often resulting in unethical or abusive behaviors that grow into a crisis before they are caught by leadership teams,” said Ables. “Intranets are the way that engaged leaders listen to their front lines to head off problems, and how they keep teams aligned and unified.”

Ables is the author of “The LUCK Principle: Business Results at the Intersection of People & Profit.” In the book he teaches how to harness the power of people, process and technology to transform a business into a workplace that balances a people-first culture with bottom-line results. The book is available in both paperback and Kindle versions on Amazon at https://www.Amazon.com/dp/B01N0QW5H4.
