Invictus Foundation is hosting the Sacramento Regions FIRST EVER NFL Play 60 event. NFL PLAY 60 is the National Football League's campaign to encourage kids to be active for 60 minutes a day in order to help reverse the trend of childhood obesity and engage youth to participate in a healthy and active style of living. This will be free to all participants.

The Invictus Foundation will launch the Inaugural NFL Play 60 on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 11am – 1pm. Invictus Foundation was started in 2013 as a youth program to help at risk kids through sports. This event is free to all participants that sign up.  This event will be held at Cosumnes Oaks High School located at 8350 Lotz Parkway, Elk Grove CA. 95757. “It’s about neighbors helping our community. Train today’s youth for tomorrows leaders,” says Coach Viliami Tuivais, Founder of Invictus Foundation. “We teach our kids fundamental and academic skills on from the curriculum, but we need to teach them life skills like integrity and confidence as well.” Viliami Tuivais, is known as Coach V to the community. He is a former college coach who still does motivational speaking. His love for coaching is the reason he wants to reach the younger generation and provide positive reinforcement.

Invictus Foundation has been working with community partners like,  All Poly Foundation (out of Utah), Sacramento Sheriffs Activities League. Republic Services, For Any Auto-Nissan, Infinity, Mazda-of Elk Grove, and Ernest Leon Moore Memorial Foundation with similar causes. Working together to build a community and keep kids motivated is Invictus Foundation’s final goal.  All of the partners do not want to burden families with additional cost. The program is free to all participants.

Kids ages 7-14 will participate in conditioning and agility drills led by current and former NFL players as well as the Invictus Foundation coaching staff. Conditioning and agility drills will conclude after 60 minutes and be immediately followed by media interviews and youth/NFL Player interaction. All participants will receive an NFL Play 60 T-shirt, certificate of participation and will have the opportunity for pictures and autographs.
