Medi-Share welcomes staff as they return onsite to offices after more than a year of working remotely

Published on May 17, 2021

The Medi-Share employee community celebrated their return to the office with fun and fellowship.

Medi-Share, America’s leading health care sharing ministry, welcomes back employees after an extended period of working from home during the pandemic. “Aloha Ohana,” or “Welcome Family” reflects Medi-Share’s culture of family. Returning employees were welcomed at the door with Hawaiian-themed music, leis, treats, signage, and balloons. Christian Care Ministry/Medi-Share CEO, Scott Reddig, sent a welcome home email with video, and staff attended a Hawaiian-themed welcome back reception for a chance to reconnect.

Scott Reddig, Christian Care Ministry/Medi-Share CEO explained, “We are excited to welcome back onsite a portion of our employee population for the benefit of our culture, and are looking forward to seeing more personnel in both of our locations. We are looking for the right balance of onsite vs. flex employees, while making accommodations for those who have special needs or circumstances and those who will remain remote employees.”

To make returning staff feel welcome, Medi-Share focused on employee needs for reassurance, safety, and connection, all while adding an element of fun. Since Medi-Share is a Christian ministry, prayer was another important component and employees enjoyed gathering in-person at the weekly Chapel service once again.

Nancy Lafave, Maternity Specialist for Medi-Share, said, “I am so thankful for an employer that protected our safety by sending us home but allowed us to maintain our employment.  However, I am excited to get back to normal and to have quality time with my coworkers in a safe environment.”
