Lisa Williams, mediapreneur and president of Augmented Publishing Group, recently graced the pages of USA Today.com alongside sought-after author, preacher and motivational speaker Eric Thomas. The two were photographed together at an event where Thomas gave a speech to a sold-out crowd as part of his Step Into Greatness Tour closing out 2015.
The image of Williams and Thomas was selected out of many that were submitted to USA Today. The photo was chosen to appear in the “celebrity encounters” section because of the way they appeared in the photo, and because of the photo caption which read “When Two Touch And Agree.”
Thomas was at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel to deliver his powerful message of taking action and putting a stop to losing at life. At the event, Thomas spoke of taking stock and making positive changes. He urged his listeners to make a list of their 10 core values, and develop a routine in order to get a little better each day. He implored them to take a selfie now and another a year later to see how far they have come.
Williams attended the event in a professional capacity, but she came away inspired. As she put it, “I received a trifecta blessing; I covered the event, I took the time to assess my own business and then our photo was chosen for USA Today. Eric Thomas is already changing people’s lives, especially the younger generation. My 18-year-old nephew told me about Eric. I believe that Eric will go down in history as someone who made a difference; watch out, Nobel Peace Prize!”
Williams also said she is going to keep the photo, and as Thomas recommended, take another selfie next year to remind herself of how far she has come.
