September 6, 2016 – Mann Eye Institute and Laser Centers (www.manneye.com), Houston and Austin’s leading specialty eye care clinics in Southeast and Central Texas, announced today that Glaucoma specialist, Caroline Schmidt, M.D., has joined the dedicated team of eye care specialists offering cataract, corneal and glaucoma surgery. Dr. Schmidt recently completed her Glaucoma Fellowship at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine, Cullen Eye Institute, in Houston.

Dr. Schmidt graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, MI. and completed her internship at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, also in Ann Arbor. She then was accepted into the Ophthalmology residency program at Baylor College of Medicine, Cullen Eye Institute.

Dr. Schmidt is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
