August 12, 2014 – Stable Pathways is hosting its 2nd annual “Starry, Starry Night Barn Dance” fundraiser at Bunker Park Stable, 550 Bunker Lake Blvd NW, Andover, MN 55304, on September 20th, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

The evening’s festivities include live country music for dancing provided by Gravel Roads, BBQ dinner (from Famous Dave’s of Coon Rapids), a cash bar (courtesy of Morelli’s), a BIG Silent Auction, and a Program Demonstration so you can see them in action.

Tickets are $35.00 per person and purchased in advance from August 12 – September 10, 2014. Stop by the stable, or call (763) 757-9445. The money raised will help with program operations, horse care, and expenses. Donations also accepted to advance their goal of an indoor riding arena.

Founded in 2009 and based in Andover, Minnesota, Stable Pathways, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit (ID #27-3863582), providing therapeutic, hands-on horse-assisted activities for people from age 2-70+ living with physical and cognitive challenges like: Autism, Rett Syndrome, FASD, Spina Bifida, DD/PDD-NOS, Down Syndrome – just to name a few.

Director, Patti Franz states: “Since Stable Pathways began, many clients have experienced positive changes, such as steadier balance, improved core strength, horsemanship skills, empathy, social skills, increased confidence,and conversational abilities.

We are a dedicated group who are passionate about this work; we see the outcome and benefits for our clients, the smiles, the hugs they give to their horse. We watch as they balance on their horse without support or give the walk-on cue. We hear the parents’ stories of the changes they have seen – big things and small miracles, all worth celebrating.”
