In a free-flowing interview that covered multiple awards and accomplishments, Top of the Table financial advisor Eszylfie Taylor spoke about his past, his current place as a rising star in the world of financial advisors, and his plans for the future.

The Taylor Method is his new practice management tool and coaching series, which is designed especially for financial advisors. It’s also a clear indication that Taylor plans to spend the foreseeable future addressing his peers and helping them become better financial advisors.

Giving potential competitors the information that made him a success may seem odd to some, but Taylor dismisses these concerns by saying, “My success stems from my hard work.  Because I failed so much in the beginning, I had to learn a better way to get things done, so now I am just bringing the lessons I learned to the marketplace in order to help others reach their success a little faster than I did.”

Taylor revealed the challenges and rewards of being a financial advisor and spoke about how he got started in the business. He relayed how he worked for large financial firms before starting his own independent brokerage at the age of 35. Taylor’s status as a Top of the Table financial advisor has kept him very busy. In the interview, he shares many of the activities and honors that have been a part of his life recently.

One of the hallmarks of his success was being named a designated member of the Million Dollar Roundtable, an industry honor that only goes to the top financial advisors and insurance brokers worldwide. Taylor pointed out that he has achieved this designation for twelve of the fourteen years he has been in the business. For the past four years, he has been in the top 1% of all advisors nationwide. He is one of 1,100 advisors who received the designation out of an estimated one million licensed advisors, worldwide. He recently spoke at the Million Dollar Roundtable meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, and detailed The Taylor Method.

Taylor also revealed that he was recently named one of the top four financial advisors under the age of 40 by Advisor Today Magazine and will be featured in their August/September issue. The publicity will be advantageous, as Taylor prepares to publish his first book, “Rise to the Top: Failure Is Not An Option.”

As if all of that were not enough, Taylor currently sits on the board of three nonprofit organization, respectively pertaining to business empowerment, children’s’ health, and social services.  In his free time, he mentors upcoming youth as the founder of the non-profit Future Stars Camp, which is for kids 5 to 18 years of age.   The basketball camp gives children the opportunity to learn the game from experts and their favorite players. Since not every family has the financial resources to allow their child to attend, Taylor hosts several charity events to fund scholarships that allow more kids the opportunity to attend and enjoy the summer camp. Taylor will release the official date of the next fundraiser soon, but he anticipates that it will take place in the fall of 2015.

Taylor leaves the reader with a few final thoughts about life and career success. He reminds them to always be aware of the impact their lives and hard work has on their clients and the community at large. “There are challenges and obstacles to overcome each day. I choose to focus on the things I can control as much as possible and trust that my hard work will pay off in the end.
