T3 Office Recycling Solutions President and CEO, Buzz Raley, has been competing in the Beard-a-thon(R) benefiting the San Jose Sharks Foundation during the Sharks playoff run to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Buzz Raley, President and CEO of T3 Office Recycling Solutions, which is based in Rancho Cordova, California, has been participating in the San Jose Sharks Foundation Beard-a-thon(R), which is raising money for the foundation. The beard-growing competition started when the Sharks entered in NHL playoffs in mid-April. The Sharks have progressed all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals, so the contest participants have had almost two months to grow their beards.

Participants in the contest are promoting the event and requesting donations in their name from friends and associates. As of the most current week, Raley was in first place in total amount of donations in his name among all individual participants. He was also named the winner of the best beard in the week ending May 13.

“T3 Office Recycling Solutions participates in fundraising events for charitable organizations throughout the year,” said Raley. He continued, “This event is a lot of fun for us because the Sharks are our favorite team and we get to help the Sharks Foundation with all of the good work they do in the community.”

The San Jose Sharks Foundation was established in 1994 as the charity arm of the team. The mission of the foundation is to enhance the lives of underserved youth and families in the community with emphasis on education, health, safety and character development. The Foundation provides emergency aid and provides financial support and resources to organizations that enrich lives of those in need. It also supports the advancement of youth hockey.

Since its founding in 1997, T3 Office Recycling Solutions has been a pioneer in California’s efforts to promote full-circle recycling solutions for printer and media supplies. T3 provides a new revenue source for organizations with surplus unused supplies such as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) toner and ink cartridges, drums, copier supplies, printer parts and data storage media. Surplus materials are commonly generated because they are no longer needed due to printer fleet or other equipment refresh, overstock, expiration or through liquidation or bankruptcy. When T3 acquires the surplus supplies they are redistributed to a network of dealers, wholesalers and other organizations with equipment in need of the same supplies. In addition to the financial benefits to the organizations served by T3, surplus supplies and materials that normally would be destined for a landfill are put to good use.

T3 Office Recycling Solutions is California’s leading recycler of new and used toner cartridge, ink cartridge and data storage media supplies. The company works with private businesses, educational institutions, state and federal government agencies and non-profit organizations to develop customized revenue-generating and environmentally-friendly recycling solutions. The company is certified in California as a Small Business (No. 30811). The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors named T3 The Sustainable Business of the Year in 2013.
