Dr. Mark Page, President of Five Star Genius Media confirmed they have officially launched a Nationwide search for Eye Doctors, to be featured in the upcoming book, “The Smart Parents Guide To Helping Their Child See A Better Life”.
Explaining the search process, Page said, “This is an important book for us, so we’ll be reaching out to a select group of Optometrists and Ophthalmologists we feel are true advocates for the success of children in the United States, while at the same time committing to spread the word about a great organization like The Foundation For Blind Children.” Five Star Genius Media has pledged 100% of the royalties from the retail sales of the book to be donated to The Foundation For Blind Children.
Scheduled for a summer release, “The Smart Parents Guide To Helping Their Child See A Better Life” will spotlight each of the Doctors selected from this search, sharing their insights and real world experience on helping control the progression of myopia and help kids see without the need for glasses or daytime contact lenses.
Dr. Page said, “This book isn’t just about eyeglasses. The Doctors we select are passionate about helping kids improve their confidence and self-esteem. They will answer the most common questions and bust the myths and misconceptions so many people have about wearing glasses. “The Smart Parents Guide To Helping Their Child See A Better Life ‘’ will cover why the number of people who need glasses to see the distance clearly has gone up 66% in the last 30 years. Strategies will be explained on what parents can do now to reduce the risk of their child needing glasses. The book will include a lot of information that is rarely talked about”.
Dr. Page went on to describe the book as, “… a powerful resource for parents who want to protect their child’s eyes, and help them reach their full potential” even if their eyes keep changing every year.
With several industry leaders expressing interest in participating, Five Star Genius Media is expected to make an announcement revealing the final selections by July 1, 2016.
However, Dr. Page asserted, “One of the reasons we launched this search is because we didn’t want to go the route of filling this book with the stereotypical ‘Experts.’ This search would be unnecessary if that was the case.
“We anticipate a lot of exposure around this project, for both The Foundation For Blind Children and the people we select to feature in the book, so we really want to showcase those Doctors who are actually in the trenches, working hard every day and willing to share that experience to benefit a great cause and the success of children. That’s what will make this a win, win win project.”
