West has built a booming financial services and insurance practice around her vast knowledge of issues faced by those approaching retirement and has been coined by the media as “America’s Retirement Authority”.
Before founding her own business, West worked at a national brokerage house. She recognized a huge need for services exclusive to those facing retirement and those already retired, but could not address those needs without violating company policy. As a highly decorated Marine veteran, West knew the only solution was to start her own company.
West stated “Many of my senior clients were asking me about Social Security and for help on such issues as understanding Medicare and Long Term Care. I started learning about areas of retirement that were not part of my current job description. I immediately realized there was a special niche to fill and that in order to do what’s right I had to start my own company – and create customized plans for clients.”
Through West’s strategies and inspiration, retirees enjoy lifelong guaranteed income, avoid probate court as well as protect their assets, investments and savings from volatile markets, needless taxation or an extended illness. She has personally helped thousands of people retire in the comfort of their own homes rather than being cared for in a nursing home.
West is a multi-year member of the Million Dollar Round Table, she was named to the Circle of Excellence by the Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS), and was chosen as one of North America’s Elite Women in Insurance by Insurance Business America Magazine. West was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award by President Obama for outstanding volunteerism.
