Teaching and real estate were Stephen Kodad’s focus for many years. He combined the two to form his company, The Feng Shui Cure. “I have been an educator in private, public, and corporate schools for over twenty-four years. For twenty-one years, I was a Broker/Owner and Realtor in the Carolinas,” stated Kodad.
“Feng Shui had a powerful effect on my real estate business, allowing me to successfully help many clients sell their homes quicker,” recalls Kodad. His one-week Feng Shui Staging Professional course is delivered online through live webinars and videos. It offers a step-by-step system that gets results. Attendees earn a diploma and certification. As of 2015, he has trained over 3,700 real estate agents, homeowners and home stagers in how to use these techniques.
Real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran is often quoted saying, “Home staging is no longer an option in this real estate market, but a must. It’s what will make a difference in whether your home sells or not.”
Many real estate agents are embracing the practice with positive results. Pete Hall, Owner/Broker-In-Charge of Century-21 in Fort Mill, South Carolina praised Kodad as the featured presenter at a Century 21 convention: “Your topic, ‘The Feng Shui Cure,’ not only held the audience spellbound, but provided them with valuable information as to how to use Feng Shui to actually help in the marketing of real estate. I feel you have ignited an interest in our agents that will continue to grow.”
“Feng Shui techniques create that emotional attachment that is necessary to get an offer,” explains Kodad. “When any of the items are not addressed properly, I found I got fewer offers and often low ones that were hard to work out.”
Gary Keller of Keller Williams sums it up this way, “Price gets you interest, staging gets you offers.”
According to a national survey conducted by Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, eighty-six percent of the respondents indicated feng shui would play a role in a future home buying decision. Seventy-nine percent would be willing to invest more money for a home that incorporates feng shui principles.
In a recent interview with Business Innovators Magazine, Kodad describes the particulars of a feng shui open house. He defines it as, ‘a rare opportunity for somebody to really show off a home in a special type of way.’ The full interview can be found here:
