Suzanne Doyle-Ingram was chosen for this episode as a result of her success with helping business professionals write books and get published. She is a best-selling author of 7 books, and she has written or co-written a total of 13 books. She has helped hundreds of business professionals get published either by helping them write books or by by bringing together the collaborative efforts of experts in various fields that contribute to one book on a specific topic. Suzanne has had tremendous success with this model.

In the interview, host Jodi Flynn and Suzanne discussed the concept of playing small and how playing small early in her career was indicative of Suzanne not knowing the true value of her work.

They also discussed Suzanne’s style of Leadership and what it means to be a leader. Jodi asked Suzanne if she felt she had had a Wake Up Call in her business. Suzanne said that when she first started her Expert Author Program, she felt that she needed case study after case study to prove that she could indeed coach people to write a book. One day, one of her privately coached students forwarded her an email containing a testimonial. The student raved about how her book was guaranteeing her business success. Every single prospect she had given it to had hired her! This prompted Suzanne to realize that she had all of the proof she needed to believe that her program worked and it wasn’t “just a fluke.”

When asked if she had any advice for her younger self, Suzanne replied, “Charge more” because for many years she was not charging enough for her services.

Jodi Flynn completed the interview by asking Suzanne for an inspirational quote and book recommendations.
