On a recent episode of Business Innovators Radio with Alicia Dibrell, Real Estate Broker, Tracy Hauser shared the step by step process when dealing with a property in either probate or trust. Hauser goes into great detail on everything from what the differences are between probate and trust and all the way to the closing table.
“To me, this is more than just a transaction. Buying or Selling a home is a very personal event in a person or family’s life,” said Hauser.
Hauser outlined 3 key traits that a person should look for when choosing a real estate agent: sensitivity, resources, and teamwork. For example, you want to find someone that is sensitive to your situation; an agent that has resources and other services to help you, and an agent that works with a team.
During the interview, Hauser outlined the number one reason to have your real estate assets in a trust, explaining it will save the heirs time and money.
“The number one reason to have your property in a trust is to save your heirs both time and money. There is a written directive that states who gets what and how much,” said Hauser.
Tracy Hauser, a California real estate broker with more than 30 years of experience, concluded stating, “I would strongly recommend that all homeowners look into having a trust done and seeing if it is the right thing to do for their heirs and family. Without having a trust you risk having your property put in probate.”
