Amy Recinos Gets Invited by Celebrity Chef Barry Sexton to Present at the Atlantic City Festival

Quakertown cake artist, Amy Recinos of Amy’s Creative Cakes, was invited to participate in the Atlantic City Taste, Food, Wine, and Spirits festival on July 25th by Philadelphia Chef Barry Sexton.

Amy Recinos, owner of Amy’s Creative Cakes, has been invited by Celebrity Chef Barry Sexton to present at his booth at the Atlantic City Taste, Food, Wine, and Spirits Festival on July 25th. The event is to take place in the grand ballrooms and event spaces of the Claridge Hotel on the Atlantic City boardwalk between July 23rd-25th and features world-renowned chefs and exciting events.

Grand Market tickets allow access to more than one hundred local and national vendors selling and sampling specialty food and entertainment and over fifty wine and spirit sampling stations. Additionally, tickets provide an opportunity to visit over twenty demonstrations on the Celebrity Stage, as well as tasting and entertaining demonstrations throughout the day.

Amy’s Creative Cakes has participated on a national level in both cake and cookie competitions since its grand opening in 2006, winning countless awards. The company prides itself on providing high quality, professionally decorated, custom cakes, cookies and homemade candy. Amy Recinos was professionally trained by Wilton Industries and after teaching the Wilton Method of cake decorating for 11 years at Michael’s Arts and Crafts in Quakertown, now teaches classes for the Upper Dublin Parks and Recreation Program and Palisades Evening School Program. She keeps with current trends and updates her skills by attending regular classes with world-renowned sugar artists.

In addition to giving back within her own community by organizing a benefit for the Quakertown Food Pantry, Amy has also participated in other philanthropic events including the Pearl S. Buck Taste of the World 2015 11th annual gala which contributes aide to multiple countries worldwide. It was at the recent gala that Amy’s Creative Cakes took the Fan Favorite Prize for their maple walnut cupcakes with walnut cream filling, cream cheese frosting topped with a mini cinnamon bun, proving that to be not only the company with heart but also with taste.

Amy is excited for the upcoming opportunity to present her sweet cupcake samples, personally designed on-site with a choice of icing, at Chef Barry Sexton’s booth at the festival. Chef Sexton is a Philadelphia Art Institute graduate with over 30 years of experience in the culinary arts. He was classically trained under Master Chef Jean Pierre Tardy, who was the Executive Chef of Le Bec-Fin for seven years, and has participated in many food shows, including being featured on the Food Network Show, Dinner Impossible. Currently, Chef Barry Sexton is the owner of The Opinionated Palate, a full service off premise gourmet catering company.
