Women Entrepreneurs Host First-Ever Excelerate Experience Business Event in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina

Published on June 15, 2016

A high performance women's entrepreneurial mastermind consortium hosts Raleigh-Durham's first-ever Excelerate Experience, a business building event helping women business owners move from overwhelm to focus and business success.

When Napoleon Hill, noted author, and undoubtedly the 20th century’s greatest reporter on the subject of success, interviewed Andrew Carnegie nearly one hundred years ago, about what is likely the number one secret of his astounding success, Carnegie gave all accolades to what he referred to as his “master mind.” Combining the brain power or ‘minds’ of his business staff, Carnegie gave full credit for all his achievements to the power and influence of this group.

Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich published in 1937, one of the best-selling books of all time, also came to believe through countless interviews over twenty years with our country’s most accomplished citizens, that a “master mind” was not only the key to Carnegie’s success, it is and always has been the cornerstone of the success of all great men.

“The concept of leveraging a master mind to achieve greater success is more true today for women in business, struggling to be paid what they deserve, without the skills required to achieve success consistently in today’s market,” according to Leslie Flowers, speaker, and best-selling author. Flowers continues, “With women in business full time for a mere thirty years or so, Master Mind is a relatively new concept. Once understood and practiced, the power of Master Mind provides women the skills required to influence their own success.

Flowers created the women entrepreneurial mastermind group October 2013 to equip women to leverage what they already know to be listened to and ‘heard’ by business leaders, influencers, and prospects, have more confidence by finding their voice, and achieve predictable and consistent results over time.

The inaugural Excelerate Experience Business Event will be held Friday, October 14, 2016 at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center. The event provides women with personal and professional business skills pivotal to reaching success in today’s business environment.

Event keynote speaker, Olalah Njenga, well known small business advocate and award-winning strategist, will share her story and insights tied to “Overcoming the Impossible to Achieve the Unimaginable.” Njenga holds the Small Business Seat on the North Carolina Governor’s Advisory Council for Small & Historically Underutilized Businesses, chairs the Small Business Needs & Assessments Committee, and serves as Vice Chair of the NCWorks Commission and Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee.

Participants will enjoy an upbeat, fun day, filled with great speakers to inform, support, and inspire, and will be surrounded with a community of trusted, like-minded small business owners, coming together to learn, share, and accelerate business success. In addition, there are opportunities to connect, network, mastermind, and engage to secure the support needed for rapid business growth.

A percentage of the profits from the event will support the Eye Shine Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization founded by Kim Hudson, a member of the women’s mastermind group. The non-profit supports recreational opportunities and improved quality of life for children and Veterans with vision loss.
